Interestingly I just tried apt-get install ubuntu-desktop^ and it wants
to pull in a new package...
The following NEW packages will be installed
unity-control-center-datetime
0 to upgrade, 1 to newly install, 0 to remove and 0 not to upgrade.
Need to get 19.8 kB of archives.
After this operation, 162 kB of additional disk space will be used.
Do you want to continue? [Y/n]
Why am I not getting that package by default?
alan@deep-thought:~$ apt-cache policy unity-control-center-datetime
unity-control-center-datetime:
Installed: (none)
Candidate: 13.10.0+14.04.20140205-0ubuntu1
Version table:
13.10.0+14.04.20140205-0ubuntu1 0
500 http://mirror.sov.uk.goscomb.net/ubuntu/ trusty/main amd64 Packages
Installed it and now I can set my date/time settings.
