When running a vm in vmware player notifications no longer display.
Tested on ubuntu lucid using compiz, with vmware player in it's own
workspace.
Applications such as rhythmbox and "notify-send" no longer display
notifications, although notify-send throws no error which leads me to
believe it's a drawing issue.
