If I run this command
notify-send -t 0 "Please acknowledge."
in `guake`, I will not see the resulting alert box until I toggle
guake's visibility.
If my window manager is not configured to grant focus to newly created
windows, or if I happen to activate guake just after the alert box
appears, I will not, in effect, be notified.
Notifications with (positive) expiry times (those which do not require
user acknowledgement) are displayed above guake and can be seen right
away.
