Public bug reported: Binary package hint: displayconfig-gtk
I have a Benq FP71V+, so I tried to add the .inf-file from the windows driver (downloaded from benq.com). This seems to work; however, the model never shows up in the list. Started from the console, I can see the following when trying to add the model: WARNING:infimport:duplicated entry BenQ; BenQ FP71V+; BNQ76A2; 31-83.0; 56.0-76.0; 1 WARNING:infimport:duplicated entry BenQ; BenQ FP71V+; BNQ76A2; 31-83.0; 56.0-76.0; 1 WARNING:infimport:duplicated entry BenQ; BenQ FP71V+; BNQ76A2; 31-83.0; 56.0-76.0; 1 WARNING:infimport:duplicated entry BenQ; BenQ FP71V+; BNQ76A2; 31-83.0; 56.0-76.0; 1 ERROR:infimport:Unable to write /var/lib/guidance-backends/CustomMonitorsDB: No such file or directory There is also no such directory as /var/lib/guidance-backends. After a mkdir /var/lib/guidance-backends; touch /var/lib/guidance- backends/CustomMonitorsDB it works. ** Affects: displayconfig-gtk (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Can't add new monitor model https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/133871 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
