Broken dependencies popped up today here at my daily update:
KDE was updated (so it said), but after the restart, I can still log in, that
is giving user name and password, but then no session comes up. The background
of the start-splash shows, but nothing else happens. Same for my account and
guest account.
On a command line, apt-get update and apt-get upgrade result in "... 2 not
upgraded." and these 2 are kde-runtime and plasma-scriptengine-javascript. When
I apt-get install kde-runtime, it says that it depends on kde-runtime-data
4.11.5 or larger, but 4.11.3 is to be installed. "you have held broken
packages".
I have tried to disable .kde/ by moving it. I have done a rm on the
/var/lib/apt/lists/ and update again to no avail. I also tried to apt-get
install kde-plasma-desktop but it unmet dependencies.
Overall, strange enough, the kde applications seem more or less all on 4.11.5
(according to dpkg), with some exceptions:
