Public bug reported: when I try to invoke <acroread> I get the message
/opt/Adobe/Reader9/Reader/intellinux/bin/acroread: error while loading shared libraries: libxml2.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory When I try to find the library, there are a multitude of libxml2.so.2 libraries available, but none specific to Ubuntu or debian -> https://packages.debian.org. What do you have for Adobe reader packages?
