it mainly depend on the number of volume controls and mute switches in
the hda codec
you have to post the output of alsa-info.sh
1) Two channels hda codec (e.g. ad1984, ...)
2) Four channels hda codecs which support 2+2 (e.g alc26x, ad1983,.. )
3) Six channels hda codecs (e.g. ad1986, alc66x,..).
4)Eight channels hda codecs(e.g vt1708s, ....)
5)10 channels hda codecs support 7.1+2 (e.g alc88x, ad1988, ....)
