Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-ati
Alright. I was told to try reporting the bug here, because so far nothing- and
I mean NOTHING- has worked.
So, before I begin, here's my MOBO/video card combo, because the person who
reffered me said that that was probably what caused this.
No, I cannot buy a new card. I'm already in debt to my parents, and I'm not old
enough to get a job. (close, but yet so far.)
Ennyways, here it is:
ATI Radeon 9200 (PCI) (NOTE: It is NOOOOOOOOOT SE, nor is it a pro. It's JUST
9200. Yeah, I know, piece of crap. It ran Half-Life 2 on Windows, I was happy.)
Mach Speed MK8-939A socket 939 ATX
Now, about my problems.
I can only boot the Xserver with the vesa driver.
Yes, I HAVE tried ALL the ati tutorials I can find. None have worked. Like I
said, probably a hardware conflict.
The ati driver is at 6.3.3, or something like that.
I'm running Ubuntu feisty Fawn 7.0.4.
Thank you in advance,
Seth
