Tried above solution on trusty 64, does not work. Even after purging nvidia-* , Trying to install nvidia-cuda-toolkit results in installation of 304 binary driver and then fails with the same error as nvidia-331. Please somebody help solve this I need to use cuda toolkit for blender cycles. Thanks.
