Public bug reported:
Trying this daily build of xubuntu 14.04 (20130220) on my brand new AMD system.
AMD FX6300, ASUS M5A97 UEFI enabled board, 1TB WD Green, 8GB RAM. Everything
works out of the box -- The USB booting and the installer -- but the grub
installtion stage failed with error message - "Failed to install grub-efi to
/target".
FWIW, I've already formatted the brand new drive with GPT has the below
partions currently configured:
500MB => /boot (with boot flag set on this)
50GB => /
100GB => /home
8GB => SWAP
Gave up lastly with no help from any threads on this subject. What
should be done to fix it?
Please help fix this error.
