Public bug reported: Under the "Theme" tab in gnome-tweak-tool should ba a setting "Current Theme" to set the window decorators, but this option seems to disappeare on some installations.
There are some discussions with a workaround on the net, but the cause is still unclear: http://askubuntu.com/questions/361335/ubuntu-gnome-13-10-cannot-change-window-border-theme https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=167309 http://forum.manjaro.org/index.php?topic=5747.0 In my own tests I made an interesting observation: I first made a test installation of ubuntu-gnome to an external disk in which the gnome-tweak-tool worked just fine. After I was satisfied with the result I just cloned the installation to my laptops internal disk and there the "Current Theme" options was gone. Since the internal and external installations are almost identical (except from a different LV group name) the significant difference is that the external disk connected via esata is a standard sata 3.5" disk while my laptops internal disk i a ssd. My guess would be a racing condition in the applications startup process, since the same code works when started from the conventional disk while doesn't when launched from the ssd.
