I've got the exact same issue,

Ubuntu 13.10
Cairo-dock OpenGL WM + Compiz

Funny thing, if I grab the resize handle and resize it to let's say
~1920x1080 (full screen), it "animates" by shrinking back to its
smallest size in a matter of 5 seconds. It does it vertically first,
then horizontally, back to 20px X 100px (rough estimate). No
warning/info/error message is displayed in the console window when
started manually.

It was ok before, but since I've grabbed the application and hit one of
its menus real fast (I did not see which one), it does this now.
