It seems to happen occasinally when I click the eject icon on a flash drive (FAT32) from Thunar's "Devices" sidepane after writing to the drive. It doesn't stop the drive from ejecting (according to the notification). Not a show stopper, as it only crashes Thunar and doesn't prevent the user from reopening the file manager and continuing on with their lives. The system doesn't seem any less stable after the crash either, though this is just my anecdotal evidence.
Looking in /var/log/syslog, I found a relevant bit: Mar 2 12:05:42 kev-OldVaio kernel: [112807.175115] Thunar[1404]: segfault at 8 ip 00007f474415dbb9 sp 00007fff5da3fb00 error 4 in libglib-2.0.so.0.3990.0[7f47440fa000+100000] Distro: Xubuntu 14.04 Daily Build Kernel: 3.13.0-12-generic Intel Opensource Driver Packages: Thunar 1.6.3 (Xfce 4.10), Apport 2.13.2 Architecture: amd64 Date: March 2nd, 2014 (Last updated February 28th, 2014) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1233928 Title: thunar crashed with SIGSEGV in g_slice_free1() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/thunar/+bug/1233928/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
