A few days ago, an "report system problem" window started popping up when logging in. (No error window appeared when this problem first occurred.) Because compiz wasn't running, I could not actually repor the error.
Since compiz doesn't seem to be running, I tried logging in with GNOME/metacity. This popped open an error window. I have reported the bug at 1287311, because I am not completely sure whether the two errors are related.
