This is a PVHVM kernel.  I will attach dmesg, dmidecode, libvirtd log,
and list of packages installed.

To answer your question about why libvirt is installed on the guest - we
use the public cloud to test certain openstack features with qemu.  We
understand that you don't get hardware virt with this setup and frankly
don't mind.  libvirt-bin used to launch just fine and we could use qemu
just fine before the latest update of the package in ubuntu cloudarchive
