My concern was raised because Acronis True Image only exhibited the forced sector-by-sector behavior after 14.04 had been installed in a target partition that had been formatted by Ubiquity during the installation. If the target partition had been formatted by gparted v18 prior to the 14.04 installation, Acronis would have created a compressed image just as it would with an install of 13.10.
Why does pre-formatting with gparted cause a different result than formatting during installation? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1290236 Title: ubiquity gpt ext4 format error To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1290236/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
