** Description changed: I'm using Kubuntu 14.04 64 bit on a Dell E5440 machine. After installing the alpha2 version two weeks ago wakeup from sleep was working fine. I update the system everyday and during last week something broke this feature. From then I have updated the bios (from A00 version June 2013 to A04 January 2014) and I've seen other bugs (VGA out among others) fixed, but not this one. When the system wakes from sleep the login screen appears, but mouse/keyboard don't working. I have found that plugin something to the VGA out and unplugin it will bring mouse/keyboard alive again, but this solution only works for the first time I enter sleep mode. Ctrl+Alt+F6 followed by Ctrl+Alt+F7 to return to the graphics mode ends with a black screen (the mouse works, but no login is possible). I installed the graphics driver with Optimus support (Prime), keeping active the Nvidia card GT720M.
