Public bug reported:
running edgy eft knot 2 on a dell dimension. was running update manager. It
told me that I could not install the updates - I needed a more extensive
changes needed to perform a full distro update. As I moved forward to complete
this upgrade the program crashed and reported the following:
"Please report this as a bug and include the files
/var/log/dist-upgrade/main.log and /var/log/dist-upgrade/apt.log in your
report. The upgrade aborts now"
there is no directory /var/log/dist-upgrade and thus no file main.log or
apt.log on my system
so I cannot report their contents
