I realise "touch" does not create a valid LO file. But no error is raised. Instead, garbage is given. I am reporting the behaviour as anomalous. I think it 's a bug.
By the way, I don't think launching with lowriter allows you to start with a new *named* file any more than calling with "libreoffice" does.
