Hello, This error was caused, in my case, on a computer I use as a server. I was remotely logged I launched the install for wine:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-wine/ppa $ sudo apt-get install wine1.6 #latest stable release I put the end of the installation on the background: ctrl+z $ bg Once the download was finished and the installation started, my local computer shut down (power failure in my office). Ssh connection broke. Since then I haven't been able to fix it. I rebooted and the errorreporting procedude was launched. I tried 'apt-get -f install' and it didn't work. Ofter rebooting my 'server' I tried again 'apt-get -f install' it worked. Then I updated + dist-upgrade and it went all smoothly $ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get dist-upgrade Hope that helps you find the problem Sincerely, Dead Leaf -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1233608 Title: package cups 1.5.3-0ubuntu8 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cups/+bug/1233608/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
