just to add, this exception that's being asked for directly supports/impacts our ability to deliver "split-greeter" for unity8 on Ubuntu Touch for Mobile devices. today the greeter is in the unity8 process, however we cannot deliver on a truly secure lock screen until we split the greeter out from the unity8 shell process. Once we do this, we can also deliver on other promised features like enabling our pin entry/password entry screens (which are turned off at the moment as to not mislead the user on their data truly being secure).
