Seems I have the same issue. My machine is this model: http://www.tsukumo.co.jp/bto/pc/aerostream/2014/RM5A-A61E.html I'm trying to use Ubuntu GNOME 14.04 beta1. It seems to have ACPI handling issue (must be acpi=off to boot. Natty doesn't have this issue)
