  My machine experiences random and complete system lock-ups when running
  the Ubuntu kernel with the radeon.dpm=1 boot option set.
  
  This does not occur on the mainline build nor the latest upstream
  kernel, so it must be related to one of Ubuntu's patches.
  
  The system is left completely unresponsive. There are no error messages,
  no logs created and no keyboard indicators (flashing lights). The system
