Seems like I've just found a workaround for my case. This log entry caught my
attention:
[ 6508.900] (II) intel(0): resizing framebuffer to 2624x900

I've checked ubuntu displays settings and found that besides built-in
display I have some weird unknown 1024x768 display which is enabled.
After disabling it I've sent my notebook to suspend, and after waiting
for 2 minutes I was able to successfully wake it up. Hope this helps.
