I'm not aware of ubuntu policy regarding freezed/released suite, ie. How can I fixed a bug in trusty. I'll have a look a this, in the meantime, please try the latest version of the package available here:
http://media.kaliko.me/src/glances/ The binary package glances_1.7.5-1~beta1_all.deb was build on a clean trusty chroot. You may also build the package yourself: dget -u -x http://media.kaliko.me/src/glances/glances_1.7.5-1~beta1.dsc sudo apt-get install python3-setuptools dh-python python3-psutil cd glances-1.7.5 && dpkg-buildpackage The bug should be fixed.
