I believe this may be a configuration issue rather than a code bug.
Indicator-datetime is dying when it tries to instantiate a GSettings
object for com.canonical.indicator.datetime, which should be present if
indicator-datetime is installed correctly.
To anyone on Precise experiencing this, my first suggestion is to
uninstall then reinstall indicator-datetime because this seems very much
like a configuration error.
If it persists after reinstall, please attach the output of this command
to this ticket:
$ dconf dump /com/canonical/indicator/datetime/
