I have this issue on Ubuntu 13.10, with latest updates installed (and
some PPAs: one for rhythmbox, oibaf mesa PPA, steam commercial repo,
ubuntu sdk team, ubuntu touch coreapps drivers, webupd8team java). It
started a few weeks ago and really kills my usual workflow.
I tried:
rm -r ~/.local/share/zeitgeist (Don't care about history) and rebooting
Reinstalling the files lens
Reinstalling zeitgeist-datahub
zeitgeist-daemon --replace (this says "Unable to get name
"org.gnome.zeitgeist.datahub" on the bus!" and then doesn't return to shell, is
that supposed to happen? Always reads like it should return to shell..)

Manually starting /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/unity-lens-files/unity-
files-daemon does not fix my issue.
Any other info that might be relevant?
