Public bug reported:
The new menu in the application window does not always show up on hover
in VLC. In order to reproduce the probem, perform the following steps:
1. Start VLC
2. Click Help->About
3. Close the popup again by clicking the "x" in the new window
4. Again hover the menu, it will not show up again
