** Description changed:
Binary package hint: xorg
After installing Ubuntu 10.04 with my Samsung SyncMaster B2030, native
resolution (1600X900) is not found in the list of resolutions, even
'detect monitors' option failed to detect my monitor.
- I was able add the native resolution using xrandr.
-
- Ref : http://askubuntu.com/questions/19954/how-to-set-the-monitor-to-
- its-native-resolution-which-is-not-listed-in-the-resolu
+ WORKAROUND: Add native resolution:
+ xrandr --newmode "1600x900_60.00" 118.25 1600 1696 1856 2112 900 903 908 934
-hsync +vsync
+ xrandr --addmode VGA1 1600x900_60.00
+ xrandr --output VGA1 --mode 1600x900_60.00
