Here is a bit more information about the problem i am having:

Steps I took that caused this problem:
1. I Click on System and then Administration and then Synaptic Package Manager
2. It asks me for my password and then i type it in.
3. Synaptic Package Manager opens, showing a list of programs.
4. I Click on Search and then type in what program i am searching for.
5. It starts Searching.
6. About 5-10 seconds later, the Synaptic Package Manager Window turns grey,
meaning it froze.
7. I Force Quit the Program.

This hang happens when I search for any package. Not just when I search
for a specific package. So i think it is a problem or bug with either
the Synaptic Package Manager or something in Ubuntu. I started getting
this after a few days of having Ubuntu installed.

My Computer Specs:
- Intel Celeron 2.4 GHz CPU
- 256 MB of RAM
- 80 GB HD
- Intel Extreme 2 Graphics
- Integrated Audio
