I've tried Ubuntu Gutsy Tribe 3, and that did have the issue with Firefox that I mentioned, as well as Synaptic being unable to download anything. Firefox is completely unable to connect to any site I try. So it does seem to be the same kind of issue as I experienced in Edgy. I haven't had a repeat of Adept suddenly working like it did - it seems to have been a one off. I've tried using both wireless connection and an Ethernet cable to the router and both produce the same results. It fails to connect and the connection eventually times out. Could it be to do with the ISP? I'm with Talk Talk Broadband and they have a pretty bad reputation.
