Experiencing this exact bug on clean 14.04 install (beta2, kernel 3 .13.0-21-generic) on a Dell E7440 with the latest A08-bios. In fact, the pointer sometimes goes crazy and spews spurious input events all over the desktop (including pasting stuff into terminals, etc.). Usually it just momentarily freezes. All this accompanied by the same psmouse kernel log messages that this bug report describes.
