This happened again today. It seems to happen with lid closing being the trigger. I have not had an issue if I choose suspend from the menu. Let me know how to find more information for you. I have been a buntu user since 6.06 but don't have a lot of experience in finding logs/etc. Apport did show up, but it didn't allow me to file a report the usual graphical way because this is a mainline kernel.
