1. Right-click on a person's IRC nickname.

What you see: "Open Dialog Window".

What's not great about this:

* "Dialog" in GUIs is most often used to refer to modal windows, but
that's not what it means here, and that's avoidable.

* Unless the "Open dialogs in" setting is set to the non-default
"Windows", It doesn't actually open a window.

What would be better: "Private Chat", or "One-on-One Chat", or similar.
