Public bug reported:

I'm always grateful for the astronomically useful Aptitude.

According to my testing, the last three columns; 'size', 'current
version' and 'available version', are fixed width, as their width stays
ever the same.

The width of the first column, the 'name', changes in order to
accommodate the width of the terminal.

Version strings of a considerable amount of packages are longer than the
fixed width of the columns that they show up in, thus they get displayed
only partially.

It is then required that, in order to view the version strings, one must
select each corresponding package and enter it's detailed view.

Therefore I imagine that a program behavior that would be comfortable is
that the version string columns would be large enough where terminal
width reasonably allows it.

Blessings
