I'm not convinced about this patch. It undeprecates a symbol which has been
removed in a later upstream version.
AIUI the point of this is to allow programs to compile with -Werror.
since our ffmpeg version is already quite old, I'd really rather like to
upgrade to a more recent ffmpeg version. This will fix a lot of other
issues as well.
