This is still a bit present in gutsy. It displays the message in a blink of an eye. It doesnt appear when using gdm as default display manager, only when using KDM. Therefore I think gdm should be configured not to display the message.
The message that is printed just before KDM starts: "Not starting GNOME Display Manager (gdm); it is not the default display manager" dmesg output is attached as requested. ** Attachment added: "dmesg output" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/9000916/dmesg.log -- GDM/KDM prints error message https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/55949 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
