Since the kernel upgrade to 2.6.22-10-generic, raid-1 now works again
without patching, thanks for that
there is a message though, originating after the udev daemon has been started:
udevd-event[2647]: run_program: '/sbin/mdadm' abnormal exit
this is right before /scripts/local-premount, likely from the call /sbin/udevd
--daemon in
/scripts/init-preemount/udev (this call starts many background activities)
again, raid works despite this message, so no impact.
