Public bug reported: Hylafax server version 4.3.1-3, as shipped with 7.04, has *serious* problems. It would seems to me that it would qualify for a fixed package, since it break functionality that was present in previous releases.
There are 3 problems: - the default for the BASE64ENCODE does not work: it uses uuencode, that expects its input file as a filename instead of standard input. - the notify script has an incorrectly escaped shell sequence in a grep - there's been a change in how ps2pdf works that break the attaching of sent faxes in the notify script There's a patch for the latter 2 problems here: http://people.debian.org/~terpstra/message/20061224.215836.cdac47cc.en.html For the first, I used mimencode instead of uuencode and it works. I've read in Gutsy there are fixed packages, but I think that this kind of bugs should warrant a fix in the 'stable' distribution (i.e. no backports) Ciao, Roberto ** Affects: hylafax (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- notify dont' sent pdf attachment, problems with faxrecvd and notify scripts https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/135036 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
