Yes, it would be nice for the user to not have to bother with forcepae to run computers with Pentium M and Celeron M CPUs.
But I think this is a great improvement. Forcepae (used according to Colin Watson's advice in post #8) makes it much easier to use Ubuntu flavours in version 14.04 LTS compared to the previous releases.
