Sorry, false alarm: The version I mentioned (1.4.0-0~49~precise1) was
installed decades ago from a PPA and has the compile date 2012-12-31.
With the standard Ubuntu version it works now.
$ apt-cache policy me-tv:
Installed: 1.4.0-0~49~precise1
Candidate: 1.4.0-0~49~precise1
Version table:
*** 1.4.0-0~49~precise1 0
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
1.3.7-0.2 0
500 http://mirror.switch.ch/ftp/mirror/ubuntu/ trusty/universe amd64
Packages
$ sudo apt-get install me-tv=1.3.7-0.2
-> works
