I need to test further, as I don't quite understand how if they share
the same settings I can change the login screen backdrop without the
lock screen backdrop... it seems some settings are taken from
org.gnome.desktop and others from com.canonical.UnityGreeter.  Perhaps
it would be good to add this configuration to the "Brightness & Lock"
system settings screen so that confusion is reduced.

I cannot redo a desktop image an test finally until after the bank
holiday weekend, but it does appear that some combination of the two
settings can achieve the goal without the option to revert to the
LightDM lock screen however.
