Seems to be fixed in trusty! If I remove .config/xm1, and start texmaker, the new location is /usr/share/myspell/dicts/en_GB.dic libreoffice-core depends on libhunspell-1.3.0 which depends on myspell-* so this should be installed on any ubuntu-desktop.
