Ok. I think this is most likely to be a bug in the interaction between jfs and
nfsd on the server (so, a bug in the 3.8.0 kernel). Do you have other clients
running other versions of Ubuntu, and do they exhibit the same problem? What
mount options are you using when mounting (in particular, are
you using the default nfs version, or are you overriding to either nfs3 or
nfs4)? Are you able to try changing to a different kernel on the server (such
as the more recent linux-image-generic-lts-saucy kernel package)?
