Public bug reported:

Up until Tribe 5, x supported dual-monitor desktops just fine. This
version broke it where I cannot get it back. Interestingly the Ubuntu
splash screen looks OK (both monitors lite up, and the login is centered
on the 1st monitor). Once gnome starts however, the laptop's monitor
takes over and I have to manually run nvidia-settings to get the picture
back onto the the 1st (Externally attached) monitor. Dual-monitors
simply do not display correctly at all.

** Affects: ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
