Public bug reported: The man page of ecryptfs-recover-private refers to its first directory argument as "target" which is very confusing as the task of ecryptfs- recover-private is to decrypt and read the directory (the term "source" appears useful, i.e. the opposite) and mount it under a temporary target (which has nothing to do with the directory argument, i.e. distinction is necessary, e.g. refer to the mount temporary target as "target" in the man page and call the diretory argument something else).
The man page could be improved by changing this. Running version ?? (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ecryptfs/+bug/1313152) on Ubuntu trusty. ** Affects: ecryptfs-utils (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1313159 Title: Change the term target in man page of ecryptfs-recover-private To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ecryptfs-utils/+bug/1313159/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
