** Description changed:

- I play a DVD in full screen mode on my large monitor (2560 x 1440 pixels).
The CPU temperature quickly rises from about 50 degrees Celsius to 80 degrees,
causing the fan to run at full speed (which is noisy and irritating).
- Running "top" shows that Totem is only using about 25% to 30% CPU. CPU is
running in Conservative mode at 800MHz (36% of full speed).

This behaviour does not occur in full screen mode on my smaller monitor
(1280 x 1024). Neither does it occur when I use another media player
- (VLC) to play the DVD full screen. I have removed totem from my system
- as VLC does not exhibit this bug.
