Public bug reported: Ever since upgrading to 14.04 I've had issues with fglrx and gnome- shell. I'm currently using Unity to actually report this issue, as this seems stable enough, thus why I believe that gnome-shell is likely to be at fault.
When I launch a gnome-shell session, the graphics mode changes a few times before settling on the best one (which ends up being correct). Then some apport dialogs appear (mega zoomed in along with the desktop icons and black bar at the top) titled "System program problem detected" and. If I hit either "Report problem..." or "Cancel" or try to use gnome shell by throwing my mouse up to the top left then gnome-shell crashes out. I will try to get a couple of screenshots and attach them to this issue after I have submitted it.
