In addition to these, I cannot "see" what open programs I have in my not-in-use workspaces. ie. if I had a terminal open in workspace 2 and I was currently in workspace 1, there would be no miniature window in the workspace 2 icon, so it looks like nothing is running there. This works fine without desktop effects.
