This is confusing as some services like rabbitmq-server still have an init script:
root@stackforge-ubuntu:~# dpkg -S /etc/init.d/rabbitmq-server rabbitmq-server: /etc/init.d/rabbitmq-server root@stackforge-ubuntu:~# ls -al /etc/init.d/rabbitmq-server -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 3991 Mar 5 21:32 /etc/init.d/rabbitmq-server root@stackforge-ubuntu:~# apt-cache policy rabbitmq-server rabbitmq-server: Installed: 3.2.4-1 Candidate: 3.2.4-1 Version table: *** 3.2.4-1 0 500 http://mirror.rackspace.com/ubuntu/ trusty/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status root@stackforge-ubuntu:~# -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1315188 Title: No init.d script included in icehouse ubuntu packaging To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/keystone/+bug/1315188/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
